ILAKIA is a small A’ class family-run guesthouse, disposing of four large apartments, built in a traditional stone mansion in Nea Figalia, Elis, Peloponnese.
The mansion, which was constructed in 1860 and almost ruined after World War II, was fully renovated in 2009 and reformed to a real local ornament, with stone and wood material dominating in its construction.
ILAKIA combines the traditional hospitality with the modern way of living. It is the perfect place to enjoy the tranquility of the village of Nea Figalia, laid in a height of almost 400m over the sea, its springs and village squares, its small churches (such as the main church of Saint Nicholas) as well as the fully renovated monastery/church attributed to Virgin Mary which is considered the oldest byzantine monument of Elis (10th century P.C). The village also disposes an interesting folklore museum. The visitors can also enjoy the large and beautiful garden of ILAKIA and its view to the picturesque landscape and the green mountains over the Ionion sea.
Wonderful nature through a neat, warm, comfortable and elegant mansion.
